The Arc is committed to employing only United States citizens and documented immigrants who are authorized to work in the United States and does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of citizenship or national origin.
In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, each new employee shall complete the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I9 and present proof of identity and authorization documents to work in the United States. Former employees who are rehired must also complete a form I-9 since their I-9 may not be retained or valid. Documents which shall satisfy the requirements are:
- United States Passport
- Driver’s license (with picture) and a Social Security Card
- Driver’s license (with picture) and a U.S. birth certificate
- S. Resident Alien Registration Card (Green Card)
- Current foreign passport (Visa) with a stamp showing authorization to work
